what i want to say is basically THANK YOU SO MUCH! everyone of you scots and brits and even the austrians and germans who were reading this blog and commented. it has been the best time of my life!

people asked me if i will keep blogging when im back home - YES! i loved doing it and i will keep it up. maybe also a bit of vlogging, we'll see. of course i'm not gonna post on this blog, since im now not longer in scotland :S i dont knwo how ill do it in the futere yet, what i'd recommend to you it always go on frog-face.net. i will always have the up-to-date link to blogs and everything else on there.

the longest blog ever!

hey!

okay, first sorry i havent blogged for such a long time, there was just so much going on!

this blog is gonna be huge now, so dont even start reading if you dont have a large amount (omygod he said amount hes never gonna pass any science exam in scotland!) of time.

the last blog was talking about the ceilidh on friday november 21. so this one will contain all the stuff that happened from that weekend until today --> HUUUUGE!

right. so lets start on sunday when gregor got implants.
did you have a shock-second because of the place the light was shining on and the word "implants"?

so anyway, it was just his tooth fixed another time. and you know whats unbelievable - its still there!

the week after, i was on work experience (= praktikum) so no school, but "work". That meant for me, go to careers scotland in musselburgh from 9 to 3 and cut a3-paper into a4 size. -_-

positive things about it: i got loads of careers scotland mints, lollipops and pens, i could listen to my ipod all day long, there were people on the bus with me and i got to see musselburgh. well the last one wasnt really anything special...

oh well.

thats really everything i got to tell about work experience...

on the weekend after, so the first december weekend on saturday gregors granny came and we all went to edinburgh to see mary poppins. it was great. i dont think id have liked the film (oh my god frido, you havent seen mary poppins? no, i dont have a tv! oh my grod frido you dont have a tv? etc pp) but it was really good in the theatre.
(and no, that wasnt the only thing we were doing all show long (bah frido, youre disgusting!)

anyway, on the next day it was ST ANDREWS DAY! that meant a very special thing to me, because it was my super-scottish-day. means: kilt, scottish food and highlander

the whole day started off with porridge in bed. and i have to say: BUUUAAARK oh god, where is the closest place where i can throw up? i mean its not the smell or the taste, its just the consitancy - slimy-wibbly-wabbly... i felt like the traitor in matrix (cant remember his name) - that would be a good reason to kill neo, just to not have to eat that stuff again.
in the end i gave up half the way through, and i didnt throw up!
the day went on, we got kilts on and gordon and katie came round for lunch and the afternoon. of course thay brough isla as well. and her toys. gregor had great fun with them :D
time jump to lunch. well just skip the first course, it was some soup which was really tasty. so second course: haggis! i didnt particularly like it, but it wasnt really bad either. i would take it rather than porridge for sure.

right. the weekend was over, back to school on monday, the last 3 weeks have begun.

week over (very quickly, unfortunately) so my second last weekend. i spent it in manchester together with julia, kayleigh and gregor (donald was away for his job).

it was great to see this city - total different to scotland. why? 1. busy 2. big 3. big buildings which are not castles 4. total gay language 5. really busy (ps. keep in mind that i havent been to glasgow)

weve also been to the cinema to watch ghost town. what i expected: crap. what it was: great! a really nice film :)
after that to tgi friday's. my first touch with proper american culture :D:D

over that weekend i had to do the layout for my school's newspaper/magazine/whatever so i had my laptop with me in manchester and then i had to do an all nighter from sunday to monday - theyre even torturing me when im not there!

ok, tbh, i love doing it. and for everyone who ever needs a free pdf printer, take bullzip pdf! its quite a good quality, awesome compression, highly compatible with everything and of course free!

we went up town right after school to the really christmassy edinburgh.

it was a great school day, in the classes it was just like bugger all and we had great fun.

but the evening was sooooo awesome. it was my leaving party. so my official one :D. people were coming round to gregors. and it was just so great.

so most of them came at 7, at about half 8 chris and me left to go to the gig (see "Santa Rocks" sheet mark was showing in chemo) of david's and gavin's band. after that we went back together with some more people we met at the gig and took them all to gregors where more people had arrived in the meantime.

anyway, there is one thing, scotland is not publicly famous for (at least not in germany) but which is certainly worth a mention. its sky. it looks awesome. and not like once a month - every day! look at some examples:

because you obviously are so used to photos of lots of good-looking girls in my posts that you only comment when they are there, and also because i really need to get a move on to come up-to-date, today 2 things that happened in one post (but on the same day, so saturday 15th)

in the morning (well...), julia gave us a lift into edinburgh, where kayleigh was doing some admin-stuff in julia's dental practice (= putting appointments from the old paper-system into the computer), gregor had a judo competition and julia and i went christmas shopping (but not together).

i dont know how people can spend so much time shopping, i was finished quite quickly so had loads of time to spend in edinburgh. and it was great. for example i visited the first disney shop in my life. pictures.

this is this cool thing where the lamp is attached to the chair in the room where a dentist works (thats how you explain stuff without knowing a language. bam.) in julia's case with loads of non-living animals attached to it. i would be distracted there...
i dont even want to know for what this is needed

anyway, i was on my way through edinburgh. starting with st james centre. interesting, ik

i love british police! it is so nice and colourful! in comparison to ours...

Remembrance Day

today ive had my first day of work experience, it was quite clerical (er...) but the people were quite nice... and ive seen vista the first time in classical look. and that shows another time how sad windows actually is, they need to keep their layout from more than 8 years ago because all the new stuff is so shit... (yeh, you people from the dark side of the power, come on! argue me! youre wrong anyway gnjahahaaaaa!)

anyway, get on to proper blogging - still ages behind, lets just keep going to get this up-to-date before im going! (which is in less than 3 weeks! noooooooooooooooooo!!!!!)

so sunday, 9th of november - closest sunday to the 11th of november, remembrance day for all british soldiers that died in war from ww 1 onwards. for this day in almost every single town in the uk a parade takes place. groups like scouts or cadets walk there as well as all the major politicians of the town/county and many inhabitants of the town. this also took place in haddington.

as you may have noticed, loads of people were wearing these red poppies, that is the thing everybody has as a sign of remembrance.

just came back from a visit of the place i'm going to de at work experience next week, looking forward :)

youtube live was really good. except the first like 20 minutes, that was gay. with the will it blend stuff... not funny. oh well. certainly was worth watching the show.

back to saturday, 8th of november. after the rugby kayleigh and i took the bus to pencaitland to fiona's. there we met loads of people who all were there because of guy fawkes night's fireworks in pencaitland. many of them went off when we arrived (no, not because of me or my smell [i think...] but because all the fireworks was over). the bus journey we had was just crap. first the bus arrived at the station in edinburgh an hour late then took an hour longer than expected and teh most scared point was when the bus suddenly stopped in the middle of the streets at some point in the woods and the bus driver got out the bus and just went off. that was scary, but someone else came back and drove us to pencaitland (i dont even want to know what happened there...)

when we arrived there i was welcomed by chris who gave me cancer by putting the liquid from a the inside of a glowstick in my mouth. for those who wonder: it tastes like deodorant (dont ask why i tried that...) anyway it was great fun.

wazzup my dear readers

last night's ceilidh was good. not up to much today, just wondering how to watch youtube live. stupid time zones. i think i might go to bed early and then get up again, i dont know yet, but one thing is sure, it will be watched!!!

ok, back to 2 weeks ago, the weekend i had just finished my prelims. we've had friday with the ceilidh, anyway, now we're on saturday which was a great day.

i went to see a rugby game scotland vs new zealand in edinburgh with kayleigh. although i had no idea of the rules of rugby before this day it was really good. i have to say though i still like football more, its just more straightforward, less breaks and stuff. but rugby has nicer moments, and the players are not all the time crying because someone has hurt them.

about this particular game: scotland lost :( 6-32 (!) it was good though. and after the game was finished a guy in a kilt ran onto the pitch (see video below)

as i said a few days ago, i started taking my camera with me to school. although most of the funny times the batteries were empty or forgotten, the camera was in the wrong mode for taking the photo at the right moment or i just forgot the camera as a whole i got some good pictures.

anyway, a very short post today, got greek :(

soooooooo today we are on monday (because nothing happened on sunday) the 3rd of november. as i said on my 31st-post friday was world-farin urlaub racing team-day and because fortunately there is internet and amazon and they have a huge network (which is of course connected to the cia which keeps using our personal data for world-destruction purposes) and there is the cool pre-ordering feature i got the new awesome album + single of the furt (brits: awesome german band) on monday, god bless the royal mail.

heya,

a shorter post today, i am quite busy doing history at the moment, but it is getting on...

anyway, we are now on saturday, november 1st

it was a very cool day, in the afternoon i met an ex-afraner (or is it afranian or altafraner, idk) [anyway, for all the brits, that means an ex-pupil of my school (which is called afra)] in edinburgh. he is studying theology at university (new college) there. he went to see the scottish parliament with me, it was cool. after that we went for a long walk through the city and then spent half an hour in a student pub, a new and cool experience...

anyhow, photos

i love the architecture (unfortunately i dont have too much photos because it wasnt allowed to take photos during the tour [to see the building from the outside, go to the old post edinburgh])

we had a very good time, the parliament is certainly a recommendation for everyone who visits edinburgh.

in the evening, i went to a surprise leaving-party gregor's diving-mates did for him [for the ones who dont know, gregor stopped diving before the summer], it was good, but a bit strange for me, because i didnt know anyone. AND waht i have to say, we watched the x-factor (no, not the german x-factor because that would be weird, x-factor over here is the name of a casting show for very, very bad singers, just like dsds) and i am still terrified by this show. it was so crap, it was worse than high school musical, bruce almighty and cascada together! its not just bad singing and stupid comments by the jury like in germany, no, they also have some gay background dancers during the performances and the contestants walk around and sing into the camera, buark!!!

flash-back to yesterday two weeks ago, the 31st of october which was a quintuply(no word, i know) special day.

2. breast cancer awareness day "wear pink against breast cancer" was the slogan, of course many people in school took this opportunity and wore pink with their normal school uniform (including me). Everyone who wore pink (and some others as well) gave a pound which is used to fight breast cancer. I took my camera with me to school, check out the photos!

PRELIMS!!!

hi!!!!!

first, sorry that i didn't blog for such a long time, but as i said i've had prelims BUT today i sat biology which was the last one !!! [actually i have french on tuesday] but later more about that.

in these two weeks there happened so many things, like ceilidhs, rugby, meeting with an ex-afraner in edinburgh, lots of documented school banter, of course prelims and much, much more. what i'm gonna do to get all that blogged is one post per day, until i'm finished and then ... well, i don't know.

right, so before we start with the time-travel to two weeks ago i would like to tell you about prelims, the reason why i haven't blogged and why i am so happy and tired today.

ok, first of all, what are prelims (for all the continentals) the whole scottish/british school system is based on graduations which you get every year or two by sitting an exam (i is a bit more complicated, but basically that's it) and to let the pupils be aware of these exams there are preliminary examinations some time earlier (it differs from school to school) during the year [the results of them are also used, when you are sick on the day of the actual exam]. of course, at knox academy, it had to be while i am here -_-'.

well, for these prelims i had to learn almost one and a half year course in 3 months in 6 subjects (i know what you all are thinking, "oi! did he not say, he had 8 subjects, that's what he said, isn't it?" - yes, i do have 8 subjects, but i didn't have to sit the history prelim, because i had never done any of britain's, especially scotland's history, instead i have to do a project about the celts, later more about that; and the second subject i didn't have to learn anything for was french, special thanks to my mum, who made me go to france last summer)

well, because i am just not a lucky person (on the other hand its kinda lucky, oh well) my timetable (see last post) made me have all my exams from tuesday to today with a climax on wednesday with 5 prelims (yes you have several ones in each subject; in the different levels)

my prelim timetable was:

Tuesday - Computing Credit; Computing General

Wednesday - English Writing; English Reading Credit; English Reading General; Physics General; Physics Credit

Thursday - Maths Credit; Maths General; Chemistry General; Chemistry Credit

Friday - Biology General; Biology Credit

[Tuesday - French Reading Credit; French Reading General; French Listening General]

all the ones which are not in brackets are over! thank god.

what i did to give you a little view into my prelim-week is that i took photos of myself every day to show you the development of tiredness, scaredness, deadness and manyotherness.

right, so there we go.

tuesday morning "oh crap! prelims!"

tuesday night (computing, which went fine was over) "O my god! Six hours of exams tomorrow! And i'm not allowed a German dictionary in the English prelim!"

Wednesday morning "noooooooooooooooooooooooooo"

wednesday night "I don't want this to go on, I want sleep"

this is some innovative frido-innovation, because generally everyone is finished at least a few minutes early (including checking over time) i did this on my hand, it is for wednesday, the 5 exams that i have had (see timetable above) and after the box isd ticked a smiley underneath shows how it was.

in this case, that means, that english writing went ok, english reading credit was quite hard, but i could have passed it; english reading general was horrible because the whole text was about stall and i didn't know what the word meant (but, if i pass the credit that is no problem); then physict general (-_-) was too easy to be true and finally, physics credit was ok

it says, that maths credit was surprisingly ok; maths general has -_- again, same with chemo general but with an exclamation mark --> i was not aware of that! - the last one, chemo credit was ok, but what i have forgotten to draw there is 50 million trillion infinite exclamation marks, i thought chemo would be just horrible

and because my room mutated to a shit tip over the last two weeks due to prelims, i decided (well, kinda forced...) to unshit it. there you go

and as i said, something more about this history thing, miss mcphee, my history teacher offered me to do a project on whatever i wanted in history instead of doing revision for prelims i wouldn't even have to sit in class. I of course accepted that and, inspired by tomythehomy (by the way, how long did nobody call you that?) i took how the celts have invflueced our day-to-day life. i am going to do a website which should go online during the next week at celts.frog-face.net

today something amazing to talk about, last sunday we went to the garelton monument and it was already very very windy at ground level, but on top of the hill where the monument stands on you almost coulnt stand, well the monument itself is another 95 ft high. IT WAS AMAZING! the whole tower was vibrating, it was just incredible.

because i am a really really stupid person i forgot to take a video up there, photos anyway:

yesterday night was parents night --> no post then...

soooo an wednesday in the holiday week we (--> donald, gregor, i) wend to kirkcudbright (pronounced like coocoobry), it is a very ... dead village with a castle, an awesome sandwich shop and a tiny bit minging harbour...

right, first the castle, it is called MacLellan's castle and it is old and made from stone...

so, we are still in keystone (which is btw in galloway, southern scotland) and there one day (i think it was tuesday) donald took gregor and me out to not die because of too less fresh air (well, not particularly me, i mean i am used to it, but gregor for sure)

anyway we went for a very nice walk to the "beach" (haha! beach in scotland! i am funny, am i not?) and through the fields.

i am sorry that i didn't post anything yesterday, i was at a birthday party, but later more about that.

now, let's remember this really great week of holidays (which is unfortunately now almost over :() - but still, it was very cool.

Because of prelims (preliminary exams) at the 10th of november (oh shit!) gregor and i spent the major part of the week at revision-camp keystone, the holiday cottage of the mcms. it was good, i actually got some stuff done and we had very good fun. we went there on friday the 10th (--> only ONE month till prelims, whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!) with kayleigh and julia. on saturday donald came with a new boat (hUUUge) and on sunday kayleigh and julia left [i think]

it was a new top in bad weather since i'm here - everything was flooded, funfunfun

gregor obviously didn't realise what i think of getting woken up during holidays before 11 am

the first days mostly consisted just of revising (well, for me it's more learning than revising, but anyway)

but of course we had much fun as well...

Edinburgh Castle

hello mankind.

let's just continue straightforward with sunday the 5th. this day julia provided entertainment and education ("e&e" - that would be a cool name for a magazine, what do you reckon? ... nevermind) for me. we went to edinburgh to see edinburgh castle. it was great. because of 2 reasons, 1 - it was great and 2 - it was great weather, just like at home ;o).

well, anywho, when we arrived there we first had to wait ages in the queue to get tickets (of course with germans all around us) but it was alright because of ... the sun :).

then we borrowed some audio guides, in english, of course, i mean i need to learn something here... it started with a brilliant view over edinburgh (without stupid trees...) and continued with some very interesting stuff about cannons, war and torture - awesome.

so let's have a look at the pictures

that was on the way there photographed out of the car. this is the cafe/restaurant where jk rowling wrote her first harry potters because it was too cold in her flat since she had no heating

this is the one o'clock gun - it fires every day, exepts sundays and holidays at 1 pm to give the people in edinburgh the time

in one part of the castle there is the scottish war museum - a very good recommendation, it was really good

as i said it was an amazing view over edinburgh, and now, guess what, yes! a panorama :o)

Scottish National Museum

hey

i spent my week at revision camp keystone - but lets get the past done first - weekend 4th/5th

gregor and kayleigh were on cadet camp that weekend so i was entertained by donald and julia. it was really cool

so. on saturday donald took me to edinburgh to the scottish national museum (with loads of celts stuff, dear thomas...) there we did a guided tour and in our group there were (of course, i mean, invasion?!) some german people - and i spoke german to a german guy - after two months english and german only through the tube or written that was WEIRD! but i managed it then somehow and we went through the tour which was very good.

the trapain law (do you recognise the name?) treasure...

this is an amazing exhibit:

ah and btw, the architecture of the museum is great
he was really amazed by this maiden - obviously it is better than his cheap tesco-one for killing children in maths (but i am a layman at this topic...)

but, honestly, why are there trees on the terrace? TREES? on top of a building - they destroy all the view...

somewhen last week i discovered the joy the mcmillan kids have to put boxes over their heads. odd. anyway, i tried it and it actually was fun! let's have a look at the pictures...

hi.

i am totally behind with the blog so first some lame excuses for that: 1. i had chemistry test (but it was on tuesday -> lame!) 2. i have to revise quite a lot (but i have plenty of other time -> lame!) 3. i just couldn't be bothered (true.)

anywho, my last post was on friday so let's start on...

SATURDAY - SEPTEMBER 27

that day we (the haddington mcmillan mafia clan and i) spent on a trip to pitlochry where we visited blair athol distillery, very cool BUT they did not let me take photos so i am very sorry, nothing from the guided tour, only from afterwards. and something else you should have experienced, the smell in the distillery. well, i didn't particularly like it but some people (like gregorowaniwitschitsch) could live there just for the smell. anyway, because cern is obviously too concerned with accelerating small particles and scare people with some stupid myths about the end of world they forgot to invent the 4-dimension internet, to cut a long story short, you can't smell it right now.

mr whiskoman and his tOO shagadellic (austin powers is sooo great) fellows...

after we finished our tour through the distillery (and bought some coats for no reason because - no joke! - it stopped raining) we visited killiecrankie. it was... awesomegeniusbrilliantfantasticexcellent! but watch yourself:

later we had tea in a typical scottish pub. the taybank in dunkeld. i had mince and tatties, a typical scottish meal. All this typicalscottishness did something horrible to me...

(thank god this fire was only temporary and on the next morning i was fine again)

anyway they had a very cool poster on their gents-toilet.

at night i went to chris' house (chris is a schoolmate) for sleepover, in fact we were 11 boys, chris, david, ryan, gregor, charlie, jamie, louis, joss, jack, /EDIT:/ANDREW!/sorry man!/ and i - it was great fun. unfortunately i don't have any photos from there but it was really good, we first played some guitar hero then we watched the first futurama film (which was brilliant --> futurama bar at the right...) david brought the dvd and i just had to borrow the second one afterwards. Anyway, we slept in tents in joss' garden [at this point an english question, if you have something like at the house of chris do you say at chrises or at chrisses or at chris' (i added a poll, please vote, british people!)]

SUNDAY - SEPTEMBER 28

after the no-sleepover i had to recover on sunday, in fact i just did, as usual, less revision than i wanted to do, yet i got some stuff done (to be honest i can't really remember because its over a week ago --> yes, i'm gonna do the blog earlier from now on...)

more tomorrow, got to do some maths now.

actually i have nothing really to say but that i love the fact that it is weekend. but because i do not want to do any chemistry i need an excuse for my conscience. so let's blog. the problem: what about? but i actually found something which is worth to be posted here. i already told you about that i visited trapain law, the celts hill near north berwick last weekend. well because i actually made photoshop work now i was able to let my laptop, which is a bit slow, work for about an hour to make this amazing excellent (yes, i just watched wayne's world ^^) panorama (click on it to really see something...)

today i got told that i don't have to sit my chemistry test tomorrow --> i'm in a very good mood! because it would be a bit too much to celebrate just because our test got moves from tomorrow to tuesday i just blog a bit.

in my boarding school in germany each house (= house where you live in) has to DO a presentation in the beginning of the school year in front of all the pupils, one does everything, from films to livemusic - everything. this year my house (11 - the best house EVER! [hous 1 is SHITE!]) ~~made~~ did a hilarious poem (unfortunately it is in german, so :p dear scottish readers!):

firstly, i am pretty surprised who commented. if i sum it up with all the other people i know who read the blog but who didn't comment it makes more than 30 people reading the blog, that is like a huge amount (i thought it would be at last 10 people who will ever read the blog when i started it...)

lets have a view back to the weekend, friday was ceilidh, saturday enjoying internet access in you own room and no internet times like in afra (--> unfortunately that directly caused that i didn't really left the room...), sunday julia and i "climbed" trapain law a hill where (hello tomy) the celts lived, it was a nice view...

maybe this was a prison for kids? we'll never know...

during we had our walk gregor was sailing with donals, we met them later. then we went on a boat to bass rock (remember?) where one of the biggest colonies of gannets in the world lives, it is quite cool because from farer away the island looks white but if you are closer you can see that its only the birds; the actual rock is grey-brown.

i forgot to say, boo was with us...

yesterday night was very cool, we went to a ceilidh (for all the german and austrian uneducated people, a ceilidh is a kind of scottish party with dancing and stuff - it is pronounced like kayleigh). it was a very new and cool experience...

i am sorry but im not allowed to publish all the nice and natural photos ive taken. :(!

however, i can't make a post with no photo at all so here one i forgot to load up 2 weeks ago. i became on that day officially a british citizen: i had baked beans.

(for all the british readers: baked beans on toast is THE british food for europeans.)

I Arran

As Gregor already said the island was called Arran. We went to Gregor's granny's house in Prestwick on Sunday. there we spent the night and went monday morning by ferry to arran. arran is a really nice island... that's what some people there told me, why? well, lets say the weather was very scottish... it was a great trip though

Okay, this thing is so awesome that i asked for a permission to make it public on the blog... ahh what the hell, i just say it: I AM GOING TO BE AN UNCLE!!!!!!!!! My brother told me on tuesday, there is nothing more awesome on this! From there on the week couldnt become better...

...i thought BUT as i said i had my harder biology test on tuesday and on thursday we got it back. result: 1, 1 with 96% and 88% = same marks as kelsie --> awesome

VI Big Bang

wednesday night a radiator in the mcmillan's house exploded. kind of. it was leaking and as donald tried to fix it it came off the wall and we couldnt sop the water, i have to say, my mother booked a very goof adventure exchange... anyway, the whole family made me their slave so that i had to hold my finger on the leaking tube... then we had no water for one day, cool isnt it

we had to save some water for the toilets but only one tap downstairs was working so we had to carry all the water up in tupperware boxes to will the bathtub

The weather in arran did not just made us wet, no, of course my camera, too. it kind of killed her, the objective did not open any more, then i used my ingeniousness to open it and fix it, it is so awesome to see a digicam without case... im sorry but i dont have any pictures of that (i just dont know why... (-: )

VI Soundtrack

As some of you may know i am entering the german federal language group competition for the third time and we will again make a film. we are working out the story via mail but of course a film doesnt work without the soundtrack. and because of we are making a french film the music of course has to be in french, too. anyway, in french in school we listened to some music which would be quite cool for some sequences in the film, i borrowed the cd from the teacher and now we have one problem less.

VII Upgrade

By the way, i got upgraded, from my beatbox to a cdplayer which is quite good. AND it has a remote --> awsome

VIII Internet!

Today i got a second upgrade: I now have access to the internet at my laptop through wireless connection = awesome!

IX Weekend

and the most awesome thing of all (ok, thats not true, to get a nephew /EDIT: or of course a neice (thank you traudi)/ is cooler than this, whoever) ITS WEEKEND! woohoo!

Good evening ladies and gentlemen,

tonight i would like to first of all send my apologies to you because of the long non posting time, but i have quite a good excuse. yesterday i had my first test here, biology, in fact, it wasnt a real biology test, it was more a simple maths and general knowledge test, but how could i have known that? however, it was worth studying (hopefully) because on tuesday is the credit- so the harder test, i'm really looking forward to this (haha...)

anyway, that's how the laziest person in the world looks during studying. and yes this is a true picture.

if you buy it or not, i will give you a HUGE post so that you have so many pictures that it it is more than it would have been if i would have posted every day during the week (complicated sentence, would somebody correct it, please?)
anyway, we got up at 0500 to catch our plate at 7 this was the picture we had to watch in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere (in scotland :D)

but we got our plane and from there we had a nice view to the forth rail bridge (yes i learned teh name, i just hope its right...)

and then i found where the scottish sun is. UEBER DEN WOLKEN AHAHAHA MUSS DIE SONNE WOHL GRENZENLOS SEIN, ALLE WAERME, ALLES LIHICHT SIND DARUEBER VERBORGEN ... (translation: over the clouds, the dun must be infinite, all heat, all light are hidden there <-- i'm sorry that its not rhymed but im not that good yet)

anyway, somwhen in the morning we came there. indicator: UNDERGROUND

from the airport we went by train to liverpool street sation. right in the downtown business quater of london, as you can see...

they even had a huge spaceship there... thats interesting!

Saturday night we went to palace theatre to watch spamalot, the monty python musical. it is based on the story of monty python and the holy grale (mony python und die ritter der kokosnuss) but its even weirder. this musical was probably the best comedy, no, to call iut comedy is mean, the best .. it was just the best! i can totally recommend it, it is worth to go to london just for this show!

ok, this was saturday. sorry, no photos of our hotel room, my memory card is not very big. anyway, after we made great sightseeing on saturday on sunday we visited the natur historical and the science museum (both very good) and after that we went to piccadilly circus and covent garden.

woohoo, another week is almost over. of course i mean woohoo another SCHOOLweek is over :) and boohoo another week in sotland is over :(

anywho, i've still not finished to tell you about my last weekend. we went to the cottage of the mcmillans (in southern scotland) after we came back from the mining museum on friday. to be accurately, i did'n even get home in between, julia came with kayleigh to pick me up, donald and gregor went sailing. so we three went to the cottage by car in, i don't know, maybe 2 hours? there we met julias sister and her children, it was great fun. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

Mining Museum

(i know, this is the silliest opening ever but i don't know any better ones in the moment...)

as i said i want to tell you something about the last weekend (which was amazing, by the way).
so let's do it chronological. start on friday, which is here that what in afra is saturday, means that you only have half the day school so after 3 periods you can go home and do whatever you want.

anyway, last friday when we came home gregowitsch and i just got changed and drove with donald to the scottish mining museum in somewhere. it was a kind of 'that's like where my mum comes from' - feeling, no more a 'this is like where my best mate comes from' - feeling, whatever, it was a kind of home...

Hi.
before i start: why do you have to use my blog for your ridiculus arguings? and PLEASE don't comment any swearwords. that is really not what this here is supposed to be.

anyway, the weekend was great, we've done so many things, i'm going to need the whole week to tell you about it. but i have to be finished on friday because donald, gregor and me will spend the next weekend in london.

but before we talk about weekends i think after two weeks it is time to introduce the mcmillan family to you. it consists of...

...Julia, Gregor's and Kayleigh's mum.

she runs the house and is one of the nicest persons i've ever met. by the way, she is dentist in edinburgh

then donald, the father of greg and kayleigh, of course julia's husband.

the strict head of the house... well... not really... everytime he starts speaking i have to laugh, he is probably the funniest person i've ever seen. and he is short, by the way (oh my god, when he reads this he will kill me, and i'm not kidding! even now he tortures me all the time!)

kayleigh (probaly the hardest name to spell.)

gregors sister is always so cool and manages everything just aside. and she has the greatest laughing i've ever heard.

and then there is this 4th thing in the family. i don't know how to define it... lets call it... pig!

or just gregor. to be serious, i had the best luck you can have with an exchange student. we're having so much fun, it's just great.

Today was the hardest day scince i'm here. first 6 periods school, then 2 and a hlaf hours cadets and after that 1 hour greek. but i made it and i'm alive, and it was all great fun.

by the way, i got a cadets uniform today, this afterschoolclub ROCKS! but, watch yourself:

3. week 2. it may sound stange but i actually get a kind of routine here. but a good one :D! anyhow, lets talk about what this weekend happened. when we were in edinburgh we bought some poster in order to cover some pink. what do you say? mission accomplished?

i just watched the ending ceremony of the olympics. cool!
anyway, yesterday was a great day. we went to edinburgh for sightseeing and to visit fringe, an alternative festival with loads and loads of street artists. it was awsome. by the way, if i say we, i mean gregor and me. whatever, check out the photos!

salut!

now my first week in scotland is almost over, and i have to say: it was GREAT! i found many new friends and i'm talking more from day to day. i slowly really start living here, these 4 days school seem to were 4 weeks, i really enjoyed it. but as i said i want to tell you what's going on here now a few photos:

first of all my timetable: i hope you can see everything

And of course my school tie, i wear it on the photo with my school uniform but because of the jumper you can't see it. this red something is the school sign.

Somehow everyone here wants to call me Fred or Freddo, i never knew why, today one of my classmates showed me this to answer my question. it's a sweet something.

don't worry that's not everything. an saturday we're going to go to edinburgh to visit a festival which is there and then we'll surely buy some more posters...

My first day

now the second post today, i wanna tell you something about yesterday and today.

yesterday it was THE DAY. my first day! my first school day in a foreign country where there is spoken a foreign language and where there are tons of foreign people (could you say foreign people??)

of course i was excited and a little afraid, too but i went there and almost everything went well everybody was nice, i understood almost everyone and in general it was just great!

first something about the school system here: you aren't in a class and have 14 subjects with this class, you are in a registration class, where you have to go to in the morning were your teacher ticks your name in a list when you're there but apart of this one class you aren't always with the same people in the same class. you have to choose 8 subjects in the beginning, i took english, maths, french, history, computing, biology, chemistry and physics. Each of those subjects you have 3 times a week for 60 minutes and you have a differend class from subject to subject, so it is a 'kurssystem' in the whole highschool. beside of the 8 subjact you have to do RE (religious education), SE (social education) and PE (physical education). those 3 subjects you have once a week with yourt registration class.

so yesterday i had history, biology, maths, RE, physics and SE. it was great!

i'm now studying at the KNOX ACADEMY HADDINGTON for the next 4 moths.

ahh, i hate my smile!

whatever, today i joined cadets, knox is the only school in scotland who has a Combined Cadet Force. today all the first years were there so it was a kind of test whether the new ones want to join or not. it was great, we had to do some drill, build a kind of tent, up-side-down an awning while standing on it, run screaming as far as you can and get away from 'some enemies' through being quiet and hiding in the forest.

when i came back from there my shoes looked like this:
